NAOWA urges widows of fallen heroes to embrace hard work

Widows of late officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army have been encouraged to engage in positive ventures that would create better life for them and their children in the future.

The widows were advised by the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), 81 Division Chairperson, Mrs. Grace Udoh during an empowerment outreach at the TY Buratai Cantonment in Ikeja.

At the programme where over 200 women were given food items, clothing materials and an opportunity to train in skills of their choice, Udoh advised the women to be hard working and ensure their children get good education.

Speaking on the motive for the outreach, the Chairperson said the whole idea was aimed at providing succour to widows who lost their husbands in the discharge of their duties paying the supreme sacrifice with their dear lives.
