NANS Shut down FCT Offices

National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), on Thursday, barricaded the entrance of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, demandingfor the payment of their unfulfilled welfare packages within the FCT Educational system.

The protest, which took the intervention of the FCT Police Commissioner, Mr. Wilson Inalegu, to calm frayed nerves, however, caused several hours of total brake down of activities and the denial of vehicles of staffers and visitors into the premises.

Speaking to newsmen on their grievances, the leader of the group, Comrade Friday Adayi, explained that, in much as the minister has shut his door behind the students after several promises, they had come to also shut the business of his administration as the last resort.
