N13b discovered money: Buhari’s govt dishonest, cruel – Fani-Kayode

…Calls for resignation of NIA DG
Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has carpeted the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) government, describing it as most primitive, ignorant, dishonest, incompetent and ignorant government ever to rule Nigeria.
Fani-Kayode, a lawyer and former Director of Publicity of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign in the 2015 general election, said this in reaction the claim by the Nigerian Intelligence Agency (NIA) that the N13 billion discovered by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at an apartment in Ikoyi, Lagos belongs to it.
The NIA had further claimed that the amount was approved by the immediate past administration of President Goodluck Jonathan while in office.
However, Chief Fani-Kayode, in a message posted on his tweeter handle on Monday categorically said that Dr. Jonathan never approved $43 million as claimed by the DG NIA.
He described the DG of NIA as a “treacherous and lying coward”.
Fani-Kayode consequently called for his resignation of the Director-General of the NIA, stressing that a “massive cover up is on.”
He insisted that the governing APC is the “most divisive, vindictive, incompetent, primitive, ignorant, dishonest, incompetent and ignorant government ever to rule Nigeria”.
The former Minister argued that Jonathan never approved $43 million as claimed by the DG NIA.
In the words of Fani-Kayode: “The Buhari government is the most divisive, vindictive, incompetent, primitive, mendacious, cruel and ignorant government that has ever ruled Nigeria”.
The discovered money is currently being trailed by controversy as the Rivers State Governor, Barrister Nyesom Wike, alleged that it was his state money stolen by former governor of the state and current Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi.
The NIA is equally laying claim to the money.
The NIA DG had already written to President Buhari to intervene on the matter and direct the EFCC to return the money to it.
