My husband not bisexual – Woman alleges of plot to incarcerate hubby

A woman, Mrs Onyinye, has cried out over what she called an endless plan to snuff life out of her husband.

Onyinye, who spoke to journalists, sent a Save Our Soul message to the Police, alleging that the current Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai had made life difficult for her family.

She said Ossai had gone as far as labeling her husband a bisexual to make sure that he was incarcerated for life, adding that the husband had no option than to run out of the country to avoid being jailed.

According to her, trouble started when the husband, Ugochukwu Austine Nweke, from Ozalla, in Nkanu west local government area, met her in 2019 and proposed to her.

She said the current deputy governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who was hitherto a personal assistant to the former governor, became a stumbling block.

Onyinye, who accepted to have dated Ifeanyi in the past, said he was not interested in marrying him, and that she long made it clear to him.

She, however, said when Ugochukwu Austine proposed to her, she was willing to marry him.
According to her, “We completed our traditional marriage rites on October 10, 2019, but trouble started when Ifeanyi, who was then out of the country came back and let all her lose.

“He started issuing threats against my husband. He said my husband snatched me away from him, that he still loves me.

“He claimed that he was the one that saw me through university education; that he paid all the bills through my uncle, who unfortunately is now late.

“But I’m not aware of that; my uncle never told me that Ifeanyi was giving him money for my education.

“Even at that, my husband volunteered to pay him every dime he claimed to have spent but he refused and insisted on marrying me.”

Onyinye added that things worsened during the 2023 general elections when the husband promoted the Labour Party campaign against the People Democratic Party, where Ifeanyi is a major stakeholder.

Onyinye further stated that after the PDP lost many positions, especially state and National Assembly seats, Ifeanyi further came after the husband, accusing him of being bisexual.

“He became so furious and accused my husband of so many things, including that he is bisexual; but this is not true.

“This is all but a plot to keep my husband in perpetual detention, through his political influence.

“My husband had no option than to run away from Nigeria. I’m calling on the masses to come to our aid.

“My husband has not committed any crime; Ifeanyi should leave him alone; marriage is not by force,” Onyinye said amid tears.

Meanwhile, when contacted for his reaction, Ifeanyi said he was not ready to talk about the matter.

“He is a homosexual; he should come and face the law; that’s all I can say for now,” he said as he ended the call.
