Musician Ara is new Ife cultural ambassador
It’s good time indeed for Nigeria’s first female talking drummer, Ara, as she was recently appointed as the cultural ambassador to the kingdom of Ife.
The appointment of Ara as the ambassador by Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi is as a result of her handwork and doggedness and resilience as an accomplished first female African talking drummer in Africa.
Ara was presented an appointment letter from the office of the monarch, confirming her new position.
The female drummer made a post on her Facebook page, where she showed off the appointment letter.
She wrote, “My appointment letter from His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi the Ooni of Ife.”
