Murder: Police puts violent killings under control

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command on Sunday tamed what would have otherwise resulted in a serious clash amongst the Hausas’ in the Okomaiko area of Lagos.

It was gathered that on Friday September 14th, 2017, an incident started between a Suya seller and one Bashiru Ahmed who is the son of Sarki Hausawa of Okokomaiko.

Ahmed had accused the Suya man of laughing at him while the Suya man told him he was laughing at someone who had fallen into the gutter.

Out if anger and to show superiority, Ahmed and his gang had allegedly thrown the suya Seller’s meat on the floor and left.

It was also learnt that the Suya man and some sympathizers had gone to complain to Ahmed’s father, the Sarki, Alhaji Adamu Gaya, who promised to pay for the suya.

Unfortunately, the Suya man had declined the compensation. Surprisingly, the following day, the Suya seller was shot and killed by two assailants who escaped from scene.

The police swung into action and arrested Ahmed who is suspected to have had a hand in the Murder.

On Sunday, in what seemed like a reprisal attack, friends of the deceased Suya man sighted an associate of Ahmed, pursued and killed him near Alaba rago and moved to the Palace of the Sarki, father of Ahmed and set it ablaze.

But for the effort of the Area commander Area E” Command,Acp Auwal Musa, the commander RRS Acp Tunji Disu and Officers of Ops Mensa who were on ground, normalcy was returned or the area.
