Monique B takes the music scene by storm

The Nigerian-Wales young singer, songwriter, producer and rap artiste born and bred in the city of Cardiff, United Kingdom, Monique Jade Bux popularly known and referred to as ‘Monique B’ has teamed up with Spoken word U.K. female Rapper ess Louise to release a new song titled Storms.

The song which was written and produced by Monique B, shortly after the release, the song was selected by BBC introducing for Track of the week and received noise from Local BBC radio stations, was featured on London’s Reprezent radio station and picked up by an array of Artist in USA.

Monique B’ has been enjoying massive awareness from the widely reach broadcast network, BBC with a recognition as an awardee of BBC Horizons Launchpad 2020 fund and as one the many Welsh artists making an impact.

Monique was formerly part of the popular musical group in Wales, The baby queen, was formed by a family of two sisters, two cousins and an adopted sister, the group as Cara Elise (Guitar/Vocals), Estelle Ios (Guitar), Monique Bux (Vocals), Ruth Vibes (Vocals/Guitar), and Vanity (Vocals).

Their self-titled debut, titled ‘Baby Queen’ which was nominated for The Welsh Music Prize in 2017.

She believed that artistes that influenced her sounds include Michael Jackson, Prince, Wizkid, Chaka Khan, Frank Ocean, Burna Boy and Yebba, among others.

Monique B expressed her desire to create feel-good music with popular sounds, she said “I just want to create feel-good music with a popular sound, I keep this in mind when I write and produce my songs.”
