Minute’s silence for Brussels

A minute’s silence will be held before all Football League games on Friday and Saturday to pay tribute to the victims of the Brussels terrorist attacks. Attacks at Zaventem airport and Maalbeek metro station in the Belgian capital on Tuesday left at least 31 people dead and around 270 injured. A minute’s silence was held in Belgium on Wednesday, and the country is observing three days of national mourning.

The English Football Association paid its respects on Wednesday night by lighting up Wembley Stadium’s arch in the colours of Belgium’s flag.
