Ministry of education confirms death of GSS kwali student, Nuhu

The federal ministry of education has confirmed the death of Nuhu Yahaya, the 13 year old JSS 2 student of federal government college, Kwali Abuja.
Sources within the school had alleged that a female teacher had beaten the boy for failure to complete his assignment and dosing during her class, despite complaining of ill-health.
The National President of the Parents Teachers Association Of Nigeria, Haruna Danjuma had also criticized the managers of federal government colleges for poor healthcare services, in the school despite the huge budgetary allocations to the schools.
Reacting to the development, Ben Goog, the director press confirmed the death of Yahaya.
He stated that the sad event occurred on Monday Aug 9, 2021 at RHEMA clinic also in Kwali Area council.
According to the statement, the ministry has dispatched a letter of condolence to the family as well as pay a courtesy visit.
While calling on members of the public as well as the media to avoid speculations over the cause of his death, he added that a committee has been set up to look into the circumstances that led to his death.
He added that the ministry is still waiting for the medical report of the deceased.
