Minister commends Korea’s educational devt in FCT

FCT Minister of State, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has commended the Republic of Korea in promoting quality education in the Federal Capital Territory.

The FCT Minister of State expressed the appreciation of the people of the territory to the Government of the Republic of Korea for its contribution to the educational development of the nation’s capital.

Aliyu gave the commendation when the Korea Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E In-Tea Lee, paid the FCT Administration a courtesy visit.

She used the occasion to task the Government of the Republic of Korea to replicate the quality of the model school established in Abuja in other states of the federation, noting that the best educational equipment are installed in the model school.

“I will like to use this opportunity to appreciate the Government of the Republic of Korea and International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for their continuous collaboration and cooperation with the FCTA.” She said

Aliyu described the establishment of Nigeria/Model school as a proof of fruitful and beneficial bilateral relationship that exists between both countries.

Earlier, the Korea Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E Major General In-Tea Lee, informed the Minister that the Korea Government has tentatively fixed September 26, 2019, as handover date of the school to FCTA, just as he expressed happiness on the level of work done.

He revealed that high quality equipment have been installed in the school for teaching and learning comparable to any school in the world, while commending the FCT Administration for the maintenance culture.
