AC Milan will be without goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma for Wednesday’s derby against Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia after he withdrew from the squad through injury on the day of the game.
Donnarumma, 18, had been set to make his 100th appearance for the club at the San Siro in the quarterfinal, but will now miss out as the Rossoneri take on their bitter local rivals.
A club statement read: “Gigio Donnarumma has been removed from the Derby Milano squad list and is undergoing medical examination.
“Milan Primavera goalkeeper Matteo Soncin has been added to the list.”
Milan are next in action on Saturday, when they travel to Fiorentina, before beginning 2018 by hosting Crotone on Jan. 6.
