Medugu commends Wike, Tahir’s portfolios

…says Tinubu’s administration is on tract to salvage Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu has been commended over assigning of portfolios to the confirmed ministers including former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, and the Minister appointed from Adamawa State, Prof Mamman Tahir who are to oversee the ministries of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Education, respectively.
An All Progressives Congress APC, chieftain, Hon Hamisu Medugu said allocation of portfolios was done based on capabilities of the ministers – designates.
He described both Wike and Tahir as men with lot of experience both in government and private sectors whose impact would greatly be felt by Nigerians.
While extolling their abilities Medugu recalled how Wike was able to change River State through physical infrastructures development in the entire state .
According to him, Wike will create a new modern Abuja municipal and immediately remove illegal structures that are defacing the beauty of the federal capital and distorting the real master plan.
He called on Wike to work with the Abuja master plan , especially the environment with the board of FCT which is in charge of sanitation and the security.
He said Abuja should maintain a standard of world cities with adequate power supply, security lights and CCTV cameras fixed in all major streets.

The Adamawa State-born politician thanked President Tinubu for his thoughtful leadership ideas who see the need to improve on the Nigeria education system and the wisdom to appoint Professor Mamman Tahir, a renowned educationist with experience spanning many decades to lead the reformation.
Medugu in an interview with our Yola correspondent commended Tahir for successfully managing the Abuja Law School as Director General (DG) and fir facilitating the Yola Campus of the Law School.
