A human rights group in Nigeria, Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ), has flayed the state governors that were still owing their workers between six and ten months’ salary, saying that such a situation was unjust.

It declared that the Federal Government, under the President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, have pad the monthly allocation from the Federation Account to the states up to the present moment.

The body’s reaction came on the heels of the recent comment by a factional leader of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), warned the affected State Governors to pay their workers’ outstanding salary before the May 29, 2015, handing over date to new state governors.
