May Day: PRP says Buhari’s administration has failed to prioritize workers welfare

…salutes Nigerian workers, calls for better welfare

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has extended warmest greetings to all Nigerian workers and offers sincere appreciation for their hard work and contributions to the growth and development of the nation.

As Nigerian workers celebrate this year’s International Workers’ Day, the party acknowledged the challenges facing the nation’s workforce and renew its calls for promoting their welfare and rights.

National Chairman of PRP, Alhaji Falalu Bello in a May Day message said current government has failed to prioritize the safety and well-being of our workers.

He said ” many workers have lost their jobs, while others have had to work under difficult conditions, due to the government’s poor handling of the economy and bad governance in general.

“As a party, we understand the struggles of workers in Nigeria, who are often not paid fair wages or have no job security. We believe that Nigerian workers deserve better, and we will work towards creating policies that protect their rights and promote their welfare when given the opportunity.

“We also recognize the importance of education and skills training in equipping our workers with the knowledge and skills needed to compete in the global economy. We believe that workers deserve a living wage that reflects the value of their contributions to our economy.

“We have indicated in our manifesto our willingness to work towards ensuring that workers receive fair wages that allow them to provide for themselves and their families.

“As we celebrate May Day, we renew our calls for promoting the welfare and rights of our workers. We believe that every worker deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.”

While congratulating the working masses of Nigeria on this year’s International Workers Day, the PRP reminded them that economic struggles can only achieve limited objectives, even if successfully prosecuted.

“For more sustainable progress, such struggles must combine with political struggles aimed at changing the political economic foundations on which the society is built.

“This is a clarion call to the leadership the rank and file of Nigeria’s labour movement to wisen up to this fundamental fact and join the historic struggle ahead. Happy May Day!,” said the party’s National Chairman.
