Maths remains Compulsory for Law Programme
The Nigerian government says mathematics remains compulsory for intending law students, despite calls from some quatres to make the subject optional in O’level requirements.
The Director-General of the National mathematical Centre, Professor Stephen Onah, at the 2021 International math Day says mathematics, as a subject remains a must-have for any programmes requiring research and critical thinking.
Professor Onah advises teachers of mathematics to use modern easy approaches to learning, not to scare young persons especially girls away from attempting mathematics.
Sustainable development goals, SDG mathematics competition for girls was organized to mark the 2021 maths day, where winners and a queen of maths emerged.
