MASSOB Demands Jega's Sack
Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State Of Biafra (MASSOB) has demanded that INEC chairman, Professor Atahiru Jega, be sacked.
The group alleged that Prof. Jega is bias and partisanship in the forthcoming 2015 elections.
The group, numbering about 1, 000, staged a peaceful protest in Umuahia, Abia State capital, marching through major street in the city and chanting pro-Biafran song.
carrying placards with different inscriptions on them; ‘Jega must go,’ we the neighbouring ‘state of Biafra’ want to help our brothers in Nigeria,’ the group said Jega should be removed because of his alleged secret parley with the North to conduct the Presidential poll in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari.
The Biafran activists also urged the Igbos to return home before the elections to avoid becoming the targets of post-election violence.
