Positioning the movie industry has been the order of the day and one such is the landmark move taken by Rok Studio, a Nigerian Film studio, as it set to launch a new channel on Sky TV in the UK come Thursday, September 29, 2016.
Known for quality movie production, Rok Studio as headed by delectable screen diva, Mary Njoku is known by its original content which includes Cougars, Husbands of Lagos, and Desperate House girls amongst others.
According to Mary Njoku, Rok on Sky will be available as a free-to-view channel for all Sky subscribers, and will air shows including Single Ladies, Banks Chronicles and Bloodline, Walking Away, Aso Ebi and Forever’s.
In her word “I am so happy to finally be able to share the news of this UK Sky channel with Rok fans. We have been working towards this for some time, and now we are launching in just a few weeks – we are all super excited. As a production house, we are obsessed with curating amazing African content and telling African stories our way – and with this next big chapter in the Rok story, we can give millions more people the chance to enjoy our movies and TV series,” Mary Njoku, Rok CEO said.
Timed to celebrate Nigeria’s 56th Independence Day anniversary, Rok on Sky will launch on September 29, followed by a Gala launch in London at 8 Northumberland on September 30. 2016.
