Market capitalization grows by N129bn in 3days

Gains were extended to the third straight trading day on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange in Thursday, resulting in an accumulated increase of N129 billion in Market capitalization.
The day’s transactions which ended positive improved the All-Share Index by 0.64 percent, while the Month-to-Date and Year-to-Date performance improved to 10.52% and 5.93% respectively.
The market capitalization increased to N9.84 trillion, while the All-Share Index inched up to 28,467.61 points.
Nestlé Nigeria Plc led the gainers table, closing at N370 per share in contrast to the opening price of N350, recording 5.71 per cent increase.
Stanbic Holdings Plc came second with a gain of four per cent to close at N26.01, while Guaranty Trust Bank Plc also appreciated by 3.07 per cent to close at N33.6 per share.
UACN Plc also gained 4.54 per cent to close at N14.98 in contrast to opening at n14.33 kobo per share.
Mobil recorded the highest loss to lead the decliners chart, dropping by five per cent to close at N299.63 kobo per share.
PZ trailed with a loss of 6.05 per cent to close at N17.85 and Nigerian Breweries Plc dipped to close at N145 per share compared to the opening price of N146.
Access Bank tops trading, measured by volume, with 106,399,150 share valued at N798.8 million, followed closely by Guaranty Trust Bank Plc with 51,863,713 shares worth N1.7 billion.
Diamond also traded 31,472,430 shares worth N27.98 million, while Stanbic traded 30,771,254 shares valued at N800 million.
