Man killed in aftermaths of cult violence in Owo
A middle aged man Fisayo Oladipo Aladekoyi has been shot dead in Owo town, Ondo State following a supremacy battle between rival cult groups in the locality.

Fisayo Oladipo Aladekoyi was reportedly killed on Jan. 5, 2025 shortly after he had dropped off a friend of his Ibidapo Rabiu Ismaila and was proceeding to his house when he was shot and killed at Olabode Street by the gun wielding assailants.
Eye witnesses say that was probably not the target as the felons in unison regretted missing their target who they claimed had been the driver of the car when they first started to trail it.
The circumstances that surrounded the killing of Fisayo in broad daylight forced Ibidapo Rabiu Ismaila to go into hiding especially when he had escaped several attacks and threats to his life by suspected cultists and street urchins some of whom accused him of snatching their girlfriend.
Sources close to the fleeing Ibidapo Rabiu Ismaila’s family hinted that he had severally been attacked in Lagos and Abuja by members of the gang who are spread across Nigeria and working in league to harm their targets wherever they may be in the country.
“Many persons have been killed after receiving death threats from suspected cultists with the government and security agencies unable to adequately respond to the situation by bringing the culprits to book”, said a troubled relative who craved anonymity.
Incidences if violent killings and associated crimes are rife in Nigeria leading to fatalities with authorities unable to sufficiently deal with such situations leaving the people in the lurch.
