The Prosecutor, Jibrin Seidu, told the court that the matter was reported at Trademore Police Division on June 2 by Mary Bassey of Zone 5, Lugbe, Abuja.
Seidu said that on May 25, Bassey paid the sum of ₦75, 000 for a self-contained apartment at Lugbe into the defendant’s account.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Presiding Judge, Abubakar Sadiq, granted bail to the defendant in the sum of ₦75,000, with a surety in like sum.
Sadiq said that the surety must be residing within the FCT.
He then adjourned the case until August 31 for report of payment.
