Make Bible part of your life, bishop tells Christians

The former Dean Church of Nigeria,  Anglican Communion and retired Bishop of Awka Diocese, Rt.  (Rev), Maxwell Anikwenwa, has urged Christians to make Bible part and parcel of their lives and final authority on any issue.
Anikwenwa, a trustee of the Bible Society of Nigeria spoke at Nanka, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State  during the inauaguation of Old Aguata auxiliary,through the Chairman of the Anambra State chapter, Venerable S. O Amaugo,.
He allayed the fears of some people on the erroneous impression that the Bible Society belongED to a particular denomination, saying that there was drastic change in the  Bible Society of today than the  previous years.
He said the society has recorded impressive achievements  in the last 50 years it was established,  including translating the bible to major Nigerian languages.
The Ven.  said that the Society was established by late Governor of Eastern Region, Dr. Akanu Ibaim, saying that they had completed plan on how to builde Bible House on the land he donated to the Society when he was the Governor in his honour.
Stressing the need for Christians to support the Bible Society, stressing that as a Christians Bible ahould be our  final authority in any issue.
“If you trust in God, he will keep his promises on  you.We should serve God with truth and honesty, he will not fail to bless us ” said Amaugo.
He said the Bible society was principally set up to circulate Bibles to rural  areas in the country and that is why they were establishing auxillaries in localities  to bring Bible closer to rural people.
He urged people to encourage themselves  to serve God , give their lives to Christ because without him we cannot do anything.
The General Overseer of Tree of Life Ministries,  Most (Rev).Jerry Dada Obi,  whose church hosted the inauguration  stressed the need for Christians to return back to  basics, which is the bible.
Obi   who spoke through Rev. Arinze Victor urged Christians to be patience and trust God in all situations, saying that whatecer goes up must definitely come back as hard times will not stay for ever.
The Rev. asked Christians to stop blaming President Muhammed Buhari, rather they should find ways to help him by praying for him.
Quoting Psalm 23, the cleric assured that God will raise Joseph of our time to save Nigeria from the current economic crisis if Christians continue to trust him.
