Mailafia saying the truth about northern gov. sponsoring Boko Haram — Surety

Following his interrogation by the Department of State Services, a peace advocate in Jos, Reverend Gideon Para-Mallam, who stood as surety for a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Dr Obadiah Mailafia, says he is speaking the truth.
According to him, he “should be commended and encouraged to provide tips on how to address the problem” because he did the Nigerian government a favour by voicing out the issues about Boko Haram insecurity and killings in Southern Kaduna.

Recall, Daily Times reported Mailafia was invited by the DSS in Jos, Plateau State, over his statement in an interview where he said a northern governor was Boko Haram leader.
In a chat with newsmen, Para-Mallam said, “I have 10 reasons why I stood as surety when the occasion presented itself.
“Mailafia spoke the truth, and I stand for the truth, no matter what. This is why I stood as surety for him. In fact, on the basis of self-recognition alone, there would have been no need for a surety, but due process needed to be followed and the DSS ensured this was done.
“Mailafia threw a challenge to the Nigerian state on the state of security in the country that needs to and must be addressed if sustainable peace is to be achieved.
“He put those speaking from both sides of their mouth on the spot and challenged them to come clean for the common good of us all.”
