Madrid and Atletico to Receive Transfer Ban
Report has it that both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid could well be set to receive transfer bans.
Barcelona were recently prohibited from signing players for breaking the rules associated with recruiting young players and as such will not be able to strengthen their first-team squad this summer.
However, with the two capital city sides now in the officials’ gaze, the report states that both Madrid club are set to be handed similar punishment for the same offence.
This would reportedly start this summer and last for two transfer windows, meaning that neither Diego Simeone or Carlo Ancelotti’s men would be able to add to their squads until the summer of 2016.
Fifa are reportedly ready to hand down the sanctions, in what would be a major blow for both clubs.
If this does come to fruition it would be good news for a number of Premier League clubs, who have seen their best players linked with Real Madrid in recent times.
