LP won't merge with any political party – Alao Akala

Labour Party gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala, has urged the people of Oyo State to disregard any news of alliance with any political party or stepping down for any gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming election.

Otunba Alao Akala in a press statement signed by his Director of Public Affairs (Team Akala 2015), Comrade Dare Ogunlana, said the information making waves is just a figment of imagination of the All progressives Congress (APC) who is already jittery about loosing the governorship election.

“We in labour party have not at anytime entered into any merger with any political party as we are confident of winning the next elections. The people of the state have also resolved to effect a change in Oyo State by reliving Sen Abiola Ajimobi led administration of his inhuman administration and return the government with human face of Alao Akala”.

Otunba Alao Akala maintained further that the people of Oyo State should also ensure proper identification of the Assistant Registration Officers and other Adhoc Staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission posted to their domain as many of them are paid agent of the APC who were injected into the system in connivance with some bad egg at the state INEC office”.

“The former governor also urged the people and security agencies in the state to ensure proper monitoring of the distributions of election materials so as to avoid the occurrence of what transpired in the last elections when elections materials meant for some areas were tampered with.

While reiterating his commitment to effectively serve the people and restore the state to the path of economic prosperity, Alao Akala said, “I am committed to ensure a greater Oyo State and this can only be achieved through proper implementation of programs and policies that will make life better for all and sundry.”

He, however, urged the people of the state to vote for Labour Party candidates on April 11th for genuine development
