Linkage emerges top insurance gainer for the week
Linkage Insurance Plc for the week ended Friday 4th August ,2017 emerged the top gainer insurance company for the week. The company also emerged the third highest gainer in the overall market transaction for the week with 27.12 per cent gain in its equity price recorded during the five days trading of the week.
Linkage insurance opened trading for the week ended August 04th at N0.59 per share, but closed the week at N0.75 per share, having growth by N0.16 or 27.12 per cent in during the week.
The week’s highest gainer was clinched by C&1 Leasing Plc which during the week presented its facts behind the figures on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
The company’s presentations at the Exchange during the week, could be translated to have prompted increased positive market perception resulting to more bid on its stock.
C&I Leasing, as the highest gainers for the week, pulled 44.93 per cent or N0.31 to close the week at N1.00 per share, having opened the week at N0.69 per share.
Dangote Sugar emerged as the second highest gainer for the week with 37.29 per cent or N0.31 gain during the week, closing at N14.91 per share, having opened the week at N10.86 per share.
