Leader Joe Foundation Redeems Scholarship to Junior Golfer

The Leader Joe 1808 Foundation has redeemed its Scholarship pledge to the ten year old student and golfer with special needs, Zam Naanmi Claire who bagged a scholarship from primary level to university at the just concluded junior golf tournament organised by the Foundation.
Recall that the pronouncement was made at the third edition of the Leader Joe 1808 Foundation junior golf tournament which had 150 participants from different states of the federation and took place at the TYB golf resott in Abuja.
Declaring the scholarship, the Captain TYB Golf Resort Major General S S Jiya said the girl with “Special needs has been awarded the scholarship from primary to university level. Subsequently, her parents and relatives will be met to finalize the details,”
Few days back, the Foundation, Plateau State branch with the representative of Maj. Gen. SS Jiya, Mr. Daniel Usman visited the family of the student to finalise the process of the scholarship.
Commenting on the Scholarship, the Founder of the Leader Joe 1808 Foundation, Joseph Onus told said the recently concluded tournament is accompanied with advocacy to return underprivileged children back to school.
He added “the Scholarship to Zam by Gen. SS Jiya who is the captain of the TYB Golf Course reinterates the commitment of the Foundation to not only encourage competition among children but also return children back to school,”
In his response, the father of the student, Mr. Jonathan Zam thanked Major. General Jiya and the Leader Joe 1808 Foundation for the kind gesture adding that it will go a long way to ignite hope for Naanmi and other children with special needs.
