The Council of Bishops of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN), has enjoined members of the church to embark on fasting and prayers against violent killings.

This was contained in a statement after a meeting of the Council of Bishops in Numan jointly signed by Arch Bishop of the LCCN, Most Reverend Musa Panti Filibus and Secretary of the Bishop’s Council, Right Reverend Benjamin Fuduta.

The statement called on government to take proactive measures to intercept and bring to an end the activities of the herdsmen as well as provide relief materials to the displaced persons while also making haste to safely resettle them in the ancestral homes.
