Lawmaker rallies Niger Govt support for fire service station rehabilitation

In view of the recent fire out break that gutted the food stuff market in Morkwa, Niger State, the urgent needs for the State government to urgently strengthen the Fire Service to function optimally has been stressed.

The House Leader of the Legislative Arm of the Council,Hon Abubakar Isah stated this while reacting to the recent fire disaster in the town.

Hon Isah advocated speedy intervention of the state government by erecting a Fire fighting equipment around Shaba Lile Area as well as provide the fire service unit with a driver to enable them attend to emergency cases.

He explained that the busy nature of Mokwa due to Federal road and heavy duty Vehicles call for a fully equipped Fire fighting unit.

Meanwhile, the Mokwa House Leader is calling on all stakeholders to converge at ten o’clock in the morning for the collection of Palliatives.

Hon Isah said the Food items would be shared across the eleven wards calling on Residents, Party Excos, Religious Leaders and other stakeholders to be part of the disbursement.

He commended the Council Chairman of Mokwa Hon Jibrin Abdullahi Muregi for following the stipulated procedures of the State government.
