Lawmaker calls for prayer for government
Christmas is a season of joy, redemption and one that rekindles hope in the present and inspires possibilities in the future.
Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye representing Obokun Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly has urged Nigerians to use the occasion of the Christmas celebration to pray for the survival of Nigeria as a nation and for her leaders.
In a Christmas message sent to people of his constituency, he said that the Buhari administration must be commended for its pro-activeness to address the present economic challenges.
He said: “we all need to support the government with prayers and commitment to make sacrifice in line with the teachings of this season”.
He said Christians and Nigerians in general should celebrate Christmas with high sense of optimism and faith in the redemption brought by the birth of Jesus Christ, noting that the yuletide offered opportunity for us as a nation to seek peace, harmony and exercise love to one another.
“We must never celebrate and forget the reason for the season, we must remember the love of God through which He gave us Jesus Christ”, he said.
