Large crowd welcomes Sanusi on first visit to north after dethronement

Former Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has been welcomed with a crowd in Kaduna State on Sunday, and this is his first visit since his dethronement.

Daily Times reports that after been removed as the Kano emir by the Governor Abdullahi Ganduje’s government, Mr Sanusi was controversially banished to Nasarawa but had since moved to Lagos where he is believed to be residing.
The private jet carrying the former CBN governor landed at the Kaduna airport at about 10:30 am on Sunday.
From there, duirng his visit, Sanusi moved to the Kaduna government house where he had a meeting with Mr el-Rufai.
Meanwhile, the former emir is a close friend to the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
