Lagos tasks automobile engineers to be ICT compliant

Lagos State government has tasked all automobile technicians in the state to upgrade themselves by becoming computer literate in order to meet global demand.
Permanent Secretary Ministry of Transportation Engineer Bade Adebowale stated this at the rerun election of the National Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) Lagos State chapter held at the Oshodi Isolo Local government secretariat.
Adebowale who was represented by the Director of Transportation in the Ministry , Engineer Akinola Johnson who advised members of NATA to computerise their workshops and ensure the use of computer to diagnose automobile faults.
“The ministry normally controls the activities of NATA to ensure normalcy we also play fatherly role to them We implore them to maintain clean garages and be computer literate to meet with global best practices “he said.
The newly elected chairman Jacob Faseun called on members that have gone astray from active participation in the affairs of NATA to come back to the larger fold.
He also called on members to join the government in making Lagos a mega city through their conduct.
