Lagos state commercial motorcyclists in violent protest against several harassment from taskforce
There is a serious breakdown of order at Iyana Iba axis, Badagry Expressway, Ojo, Lagos after commercial motorcycle riders organised a protest, which turned violent against the Lagos state taskforce over the continued seizure of motorcycles.
It was reported that many “Okada” men have blocked the Iyana-Iba road leading to the Lagos state university main-gate chanting protest, as they also made several bonfires on the road.
On a similar event, angry protesters suspected to be okada riders have barricaded road leading to Alagbado community area , several bonfires were also sighted at various junctions along Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.
They complained bitterly about the daily harassment they suffer at the hands of taskforce operatives.
Persons are however warned to avoid this route until normalcy is fully restored.
