Lagos community commends Ambode on infrastructure

It was celebration galore in Ogudu, a Lagos community, comprising Adebola street, Asejere, Alhaja Eleshin and other adjoining streets following Governor Akinwumi Ambode’s timely response to the Save Our Soul (S.O.S) message sent to him by the community on the incessant flooding in the area that had been wrecking havoc on residents for some time now, as well as the traffic jam that has defied solution for a long time.
The community had on February 21, 2018, sought the help of the Lagos governor, on the problems confronting the area.
Speaking with journalists, Chairman of the Community Development Association (CDA), Mr. Olamuyiwa Akinsoyinu, stated that the work the governor is doing in Lagos speaks volume.
According to him, “We wrote a letter to him and he responded with alacrity, we are most grateful. We promise the governor and APC all our votes as usual in the coming elections.
With this development, traffic grid lock around Ogudu, Association Close and Ogudu-Orioke will be a thing of the past, as Adebola street will now serve as a link road from the GRA through Gafari street down to the Oworonshoki Expressway,” he maintained.
Also speaking, a landlord, Chief Adebola Majeobaje, prayed God to continue to guide Mr. Governor in his transformation drive which has fully endeared him to Lagosians and all Nigerians home and abroad.
His words: “All of us are solidly behind him in the coming elections. We appreciate him for turning Lagos to a mega city,” he said.
According to the Secretary, Adebola Peace Valley Estate, Stephen Osita, “The governor has wiped away tears from residents of Adebola, Asejere among others with the timely response.
With the construction of the road, we will only be hearing flooding from far away and no longer in our area. We will always support the governor and if there is the possibility of third term for him, we are solidly behind him because the governor’s second term aspiration is a done deal,” he added.
While imploring the women folks to rally round the governor and APC, Mrs. Odugbesan F.O. said, “Mr. Governor has further proven that he is gender sensitive because each time disaster struck, women and children are the most vulnerable and with the governors response, the women are happier for it, as the women will continue to support his aspirations.”
