Lagos Carnival Update

The commisioner for Transportation in Lagos on Friday announced that due to the hosting of the 2015 edition of the LAGOS CARNIVAL scheduled to hold on Saturday May 9, 2015, road closures and Traffic diversions will be expected around the TBS, venue of the carnival, and other carnival routes especially in Victoria Island and Ikoyi areas from 8am to 6pm

The affected roads are:Burdillion Rd, Falomo Round About, Awolowo rd, Onikan Round About, King George V rd, Turton Str, Lewis str, Bamgbose Str, Campos square, Joseph str, Catholic Mission-str, King’s College, J K Randle Rd, TBS main bowl.

He also said that guests with Invitation Cards will park at any of these designated parks along Inner Marina road; NPA Car Park, Sterling Bank Car Park,
CONOIL Car Park, Shell Car Park, Onikan Stadium Car Park.

And for those who would like to attend the carnival, he made sure to say that there will be free shuttle buses to convey guests to TBS.
“People are also encouraged to park in Ikoyi & watch the Carnival procession from Awolowo road, Ikoyi”. He said.
LAGBUS will provide limited free bus shuttle services for members of the public from 9.30 from the following locations to CMS and Obalende using specially designated buses.
