Lagos Assembly swears in new member, to replace late Alimi

Hon. Noheem Babatunde Adams was on Monday sworn-in as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Eti-Osa Constituency 1.
Adams was elected member of the House at September 30th bye election following the death of Hon. Kazeem Alimi who was representing the constituency until July 18, 2017 when he died after a brief illness.
Speaking after the swearing-in, which took place at exactly 3:15pm during plenary on Monday, the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa prayed that the tenure of the lawmaker would bring development to the state and the country in general.
“We pray that the event that brought you here will not happen here again. We are happy to receive you here as one of us, we hope you will abide by the oath of office you have taken,” the Speaker stated.
The oath of office was administered on the new lawmaker by officers from the legal department of the House amidst fun fare as supporters of the lawmaker as well as party faithful turned out in large numbers to witness the ceremony.
Adams who won the bye election on the platform of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), is an indigene of Lagos State born on the 15th of April 1980 in Lagos Island to the families of Adams Owoseni and Oketiri of Addo land
and Imam Arafa Shitta Eletu Ogudu Chieftaincy family Ogombo with a blood link to the lineage of Olufunmi family of Shangotedo all in Eti Osa of Lagos State. Adams is happily married to Mrs Oluwaseun Mariam Adams and blessed with children.
