Lagos APC chairman, honoured with a life achievement award
Nigeria’s longest serving soft sell Magazine, City People Magazine has celebrated the Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale, with an award for his outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s politics especially in Lagos State.
The organisers of the award noted that the recipient of the award has done extremely well in re-positioning the political sphere of Lagos State and indeed Nigeria and needs to be recognised and appreciated.
The immediate past Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, Comrade Ayodele Adewale who represented Chief Ajomale at the event in company of Chief Chris Ekwilo (JP), leader Igbo coalition in APC Lagos State, Mr. Oladele Fasan
and comrade Bukola Olaoye said that, “it is a great honour to receive a lifetime achievement award from a very revered soft sell magazine on behalf of my father and one of my mentors, Chief Henry Ajomale.
Comrade Adewale while receiving the award, described Chief Ajomale as an astute and consummate politician, brilliant lawyer, activist, successful businessman, fine diplomat, philanthropist and family man.
According to him, Chief Ajomale exemplifies good quality of loyalty not only to his commitments, family and trusted friends, but to our national leader who is my father and his friend Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Ajomale in his youthful days was a member of National Union of Nigerian Students (NUNS) and was one of the Organisers of a revolutionary but historic protests (struggle) against the Anglo-Nigerian Defense pact on November 9, 1960.
Without sounding immodest, Comrade Adewale further said that Chief Henry Oladele Ajomale has paid his dues for the political survival of this country and he duly deserves this Lifetime Achievement Award in politics, for his outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s politics especially in Lagos State.
“On behalf of the Lagos State Chairman of APC, I want to thank you profusely for believing and appreciating him.’’
He noted that the government of Lagos State will continue to formulate policies that will bring positive development to our dear state and indeed Nigeria.
Other recipients of various awards at the event are Senator Ganiu Solomon, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, amongst others distinguished personalities. Legendary Sir Shina Peters entertained guests to their delight with other artists.
