Labour Party Guber Aspirant Endorses Ihedioha, joins PDP
A guber aspirant under the platform of Labour Party, Dr. Law Osondu, and the entire members of Law Osondu Campaign Organisation have pledged their total support to the Gubernatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, today in his Civic Center residence, Owerri. His major support Group, Imo Great Alliance also pledged their support to the PDP and its candidate Ihedioha.
In his remarks, Dr Osondu, a United States trained Adult/Gerontology Nurse, who has pioneered several Free Medical Outreaches as the President of Mbaise USA, noted that He decided to support Ihedioha based on the fact that among all the candidates of the various political parties who have emerged, Ihedioha presents a better deal for Imo people.
According to him, aside the fact that the Peoples Democratic Party conducted the most transparent and credible primaries across the State and the entire federation, Ihedioha’s manifesto for Ndi Imo which provides “New deal for Imo workers, Pensioners, considers payment of contractors as a necessity, obeys rule of law, pays attention on Agriculture, Education, Healthcare and Tourism”, matches with his plans for a better Imo.
He promised that his entire campaign team led by Hon. Ifeanyi Anyikwa, and the entire members of his support group, Imo Great Alliance led by Hon. Steve Onyeachumba, will work for the Victory of the PDP in all positions come 2019. He announced His formal defection to the PDP alongside members of his Campaign Team and Support Group.
Before responding, His Excellency, the PDP Candidate, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha , called on the State Secretary, Nze Ray Emeana, to officially welcome the group to the PDP. An assignment which was done immediately by the State Secretary on behalf of the State Chairman, Chief Charles Ezekwem and the National Chairman of the Party, Prince Uche Secondus.
In his response, Chief Ihedioha thanked them for finding him worthy of partnership. He reassured them of his resolve to carry everyone along in the process of reclaiming Imo. He noted that He is just on the drivers seat driving the movement, while every other person championing the Imo Liberation course is a major stakeholder in the project. He assured them of a sincere partnership with the entire structure of their campaign team, to ensure that Imo is reclaimed for its people in 2019.
The Law Osondu delegation had the LGA Coordinators of his Campaign Organisation and Support Group, the Zonal Leaders and the State Leaders in attendance.
Chief Ihedioha received them alongside his campaign DG, Dr Vin Udokwu, The State Secretary, Nze Ray Emeana, the Secretary PDP Elders Council, Chief Peter Mgbewelu, the Party Chairman Ehime Mbano, Arc MacAnthony Iwuoha , amongst others.
