Kwankwaso Denies Decamping To PDP

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso has dispelled the rumour and e describes as ‘fake news’ circulating on some online media platforms that he has defected to PDP.
Immediate past Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has denied a report that he has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Reports emerged on Monday that Kwankwaso and 10 members of the House of Representatives from Kano State dumped the APC for the PDP.
According to sources, APC leaders were jolted by the alleged defection of former Defence Minister.
A party leader, who prefers to remain anonymous, told Bounce News that the party leadership is aware of a disagreement between the ex-governor and his successor, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
He noted that the party was shocked when news filtered it that the two- time governor had crossed carpets.
He said the APC has been doing its best to resolve the intra-party crisis.
Kwankwaso is on the PDP’s list of those it’s trying to woo back. The PDP has already set-up a committee to meet with him and other aggrieved members who left before the 2015 general elections.
But the senator representing Kano Central on Tuesday dispelled the rumours of his defection.
He says he remains in the APC.
Kwankwaso came second in the 2015 presidential primaries of the APC which was won by President Muhammadu Buhari.
