The government of Korea has expressed her willingness to support Nigeria’s effort in the development of her education sector through exchange programmes.
The Korean ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Noh Kyu-duk, made this known when he visited the Minister of Education, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, in Abuja.
The ambassador, who noted the challenges facing the sector, especially that of the high number of out-of-school children, in some parts of the country, also said that his country was willing to intervene in infrastructure development at the basic level of the education system.
Briefing Shekarau on how his country was able to transform from agricultural background through educational reform, Noh said both countries had a lot to share and learn from each other.
He, therefore, invited Shekarau to the World Education Forum to be hosted by his country in few weeks’ time.
