The new N1.5 billion diagnostic and imaging centre, currently under construction in Lokoja, will be ready in July, the Kogi state government has said.
In a statement on Wednesday, the state deputy governor, Mr Yomi Awoniyi stated this while on inspection tour of the project site located within the premises of the specialist hospital.
It said that Awoniyi, who was accompanied by the commissioner of health, Dr Omede Idris, observed that the project which was started by the previous administration, would be provided with quality furniture and state-of-the-art equipment.
It said that when completed, the centre would minimize medical tourism and enhance the quality of health services to the people.
The statement signed by the Press Secretary to the deputy governor, Mr Mike Abu, quoted the governor as expressing satisfaction with the quality of job done by the contractor.
