Kingibe, two others emerge AMAC delegates for APC convention

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) has affirmed the nominations of Hajya Ireti Kingibe and two others as its delegates for the forthcoming non-elective national convention of the party.

APC stakeholders in the council had nominated Kingibe, Yakubu Karshi and Diugwu Chukwuemeka Peter, and at a special state Congress they were unanimously affirmed by voice votes on Saturday, as national delegates at the forthcoming non-elective convention of the ruling party.

The special Congress presided over by state Convention Committee Chairman from APC National headquarters, Kingsley Ufere, was attended by AMAC Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu Candido, his vice, all elected councillors, political appointees and executives of the party.

Others present at the Congress include state chairman, party stalwart, Hon Tanko Abari, and a representative of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Briefing newsmen after the exercise, state Chairman for the Congress, Kingsley Ufere, said the party is not averse to affirmation in the selection process of delegates.
He added that everybody was actually carried along in the process, as there were no dissenting voices.

According to him, FCT as a whole will produce eighteen delegates in the convention that will be coming up soon.

On his part, AMAC APC Chairman, Abbas Baba, described the three delegates as credible people, who will represent the interest of the council in the national convention.

Responding on behalf of the delegates, Diugwu Chukwuemeka, thanked the party for finding them worthy to represent it in the forthcoming national convention, promising to be loyal servants.
