Keyamo Leads United Nigeria Airlines’ Inaugural Ekiti Flight
United Nigeria Airlines will today commence its maiden commercial flight to Ekiti State from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, with the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo (SAN), leading dignitaries and guests.
The milestone deepens domestic air connectivity and strengthens the airline’s commitment to developing emerging routes with rising economic and social importance.
The new service will operate at the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Airport in Ado-Ekiti, opening a new chapter for air travel in the state and providing residents, investors, government officials, students and visitors with a safer and more convenient travel option.
The inaugural flight is expected to boost the state’s economic outlook, supporting tourism, commerce, agriculture and its growing creative sector.
United Nigeria Airlines said the decision to open the route was driven by increasing demand for improved connectivity and its desire to contribute to Ekiti’s development objectives. The airline reaffirmed its commitment to high safety standards, quality customer service and reliable operations across its expanding network.
The symbolic flight will feature aviation stakeholders, government officials, traditional leaders and business executives who will join the airline in marking its entry into Ekiti.
