Kefas mourns former Taraba PDP former Chairman, Bala Kona

Taraba State governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has commiserated with the people of the state over the sudden demise of former state People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Hon. Victor Bala Kona.

In a statement signed and issued to journalists in Jalingo the state capital on Sunday, by the Governor’s Special Adviser on
Media and Digital Communication, Emmanuel Bello, Governor Kefas said the news of the passage of the former PDP Chairman is such a painful one.

“The sad news of the passage of the former Chairman of our great party, Chief Victor Bala Kona is such a painful one”, he said.

According to the Governor, Taraba State did not only lose a political icon but a father and a consumate family man.

He said Hon. Victor Bala Kona is somebody in the history of the State that would be respected at all times.

“His death came at a time his wealth of experience and knowledge would be most needed”.

“I hereby extend my heart felt condolences to his family and all of us left to mourn this disturbing and irreparable loss”, he added.

Daily Times gathered that the news of the death of her former chairman Chief Victor Bala Kona (Garkuwan Bakundi) occurred early Sunday the 27th August 2023 in Abuja.

Late Chief Victor Bala Kona (Garkuwan Bakundi) was Chairman of PDP in the State from March 2012 to August 2020.
