Kechi Okwuchi excel at ‘America’s Got Talent’ live show

Sosoliso plane crash survivor, Kechi Okwuchi has once again impressed judges at the America’s Got Talent show after her soulful rendition of Donny Hathaway’s ‘Song for You’. She has moved on to the next round which is the live shows.

The judges, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Mel B and the guest judge Seal gave her a standing ovation.

In his remark Simon Cowell said ‘What I can say for sure is you deserved your place here tonight, not just on your story, but on your talent.

Kechi Okwuchi was one of the two survivors of the Sosoliso Airline Flight 1145 crash on December 10, 2005 that took the lives of 107 passengers.

The crash occurred on her way back to Port Harcourt for a Christmas holiday with other students from her school, Loyola Jesuit College. The plane crashed 20 minutes before the estimated landing time.
