The Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Abubakar Bagudu has released N1.3 billion to settle part of the accumulated gratuities debt the state owes retirees.

In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, to the Governor, Ahaji Muazu Dakin Gari said that, the money released was part of government efforts to ensure all retirees in the state are paid.

He added that the delay was due to lack of sufficient funds but assured that as the situation improves all debts will be settled.
He called on them to remain patient as Kebbi government is aware of their plight and is working to ease their burdens.
