Kebbi NLC felicitates with buhari,calls for minimum wage

The kebbi state chairman of the Nigerian labour congress comrade Umar halidu in a press release made available to journalists described the last week presidential and national assembly polls as peaceful and credible.

The statement further said that the sacrifices of civil servants before and during the elections should not go unnoticed by the president and other politicians.

He added that the union contributed to peace and success of the polls by shifting its grounds on nationwide strike which gave INEC the opportunity to conduct elections in the country, he urged the federal government to do its bit by fastracking the implementation of the national minimum wage adding that poor renumeration of workers will fuel poverty and hunger.

In kebbi state the labour chief said that the union is confident that as soon as the federal government implement minimum wage,his excellency the governor of kebbi state will follow suit, he thanked kebbi electorates for their patience at the polling units and for exhibiting highest morals standards during the exercise the statement added.
