Kebbi Central to taste new hand

A new breed politician, Barrister Kabiru Shamaki is set to face the serving Senator Muhammadu Adamu Alieru of Kebbi Central senatorial district, who is also two times Kebbi state governor and former minister.

Senator Alieru who dominated kebbi’s political landscape since 1999 was defeated only once by the incumbent Governor Atiku Abubakar.

Shamaki, the Birnin Kebbi born Kaduna based legal guru said that the time is now to bring in young blood with new ideas and innovations to enthrone the promised change APC pledged.

He added that Kebbi needs new breed politicians to end recycled politicians gradually eroding the system, slowing progress and development.

He stated that the direct primaries proposed by the party is a welcome development as it’s a sure way of bringing out real democrats that will holistically take the party to the next level and bring true representations.

He called on governor Bagudu to ensure free, fair and credible primaries in the state.
