The Kebbi state secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ahmed Musa Jega has said that the state unanimously agreed to adopt the indirect primaries for the forthcoming primaries in the state.
According to him, the decision was reached at the party’s stakeholders meeting in Birnin Kebbi where all concerned brainstormed and arrived at the decision which does not contradicts the party constitution, as it has been provided that consensus and indirect primaries are allowed if the need arises.
Jega denies rumour making the round that APC is giving preferential treatments to some aspirants in the state, saying “the party’s door is open for all aspirants regardless of affiliation or connection from any quarters”.
