Kayode Ojo mourns Prof Borishade, Adeleke
An All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial aspirant in Ekiti State, Engr. Kayode Ojo has expressed condolence to the family of Prof. Babalola Borishade, for the demise of the elder statesman.
In a chat with journalists in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State capital, Ojo described the death of Prof. Borishade as a great loss to Ekiti State in particular and Nigeria in general.
Engr Ojo who hails from Ikoro Ekiti said the death occurred when the country needs the wealth of experience of the deceased most, urging the family to take solace in the fact that the late Professor lived an exemplary life.
The APC chieftain prayed that God will give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, just as he admonished those he left behind to
live up to expectation.
Late Borishade, an astute Politician who hail from Usi Ekiti was a during his life time a university don’t, minister Education, and later Aviation minister.
Also in a related development Engr. Ojo has described the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke as a consummate Politician whose death had created a big vacuum in the South West Politics and condoled with his family, Osun State people and Nigerians over his sudden and shocking demise.
Ojo appealed to politicians in Osun State particularly the members of APC not to allow Adeleke’s demise to cause rancour and unwarranted suspicion that could stoke the ember of discord and rob the party of victory in 2018.
Ekiti governorship aspirant branded the former governor and senator as a detribalised Nigerian, who used his entire life fighting for those at the grassroots level.
“Rather than allowing his death to cause unnecessary cleavages in Osun Politics, People should rejoice, because Senator Adeleke lived for the people. He had left an indelible footprints on Osun’s Political soil and his impacts will forever linger in the hearts of those who benefited from his generosity.
“Senator Adeleke displayed uncommon bravery as a freedom fighter as a civilian governor of Osun State and his landmark achievements had made him a darling name, which necessitated his being elected twice as a Senator representing Osun West, the position he held until his demise”
