Kaltungo LG caretaker chair reveals secrets of success
The immediate Caretaker Committee Chairman of Kaltungo local Government area of Gombe State, Hon. Dauda Simon, has attributed his successful peaceful election conducted in the area through the maximum support of Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo.
And the way and manner he single-handedly brought all the stakeholders of the party in the Kaltungo together hence the resounding victory recorded in the polls in favour of Hon Abubakar Danzaria of PDP against Hon. Mrs Zainab Alman of APC and others.
He noted that the political stability of Kaltungo Local Government area now where previous elections often ended in violence and crisis exhibited the highest sense of maturity and decorum at the election.
As the people voted with their conscious and made their choices known through voting people of their choices, stressing further that he would not have succeeded if not he adopted an open door policy and participatory democracy in the area as some of the enduring legacies he left behind.
The former lecturer who had served as the deputy chairman of the area thanked Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo for giving him an opportunity and considering him worthy to serve his people as this trying time as the chairman.
And would also offer himself to serve again if given the opportunity in future as the taste of the pudding is by eating them when responding to questions from the reporter.
He advised the Chairman to serve with the fear of God and open door policy with his team so that they can be able to deliver the dividends of democracy to the area that is yielding for social amenities and also asked the people to give the new leadership their support and encouragement to move the area forward.
